The 2022-23 Duck harvest [1,202] represented a 19% increase over 2021-22 [1,010]
- 37% [441 ducks] came from the 11 best hunts of season
- The 20 worst days of season [33%] contributed just 138 ducks [11%] to our total
- The worst consecutive 5-day stretch was Jan 22-26 [26 total ducks]
Season started slower than 2021-22, but caught up [and exceed] during early January
No day exceeded 50 ducks, but last season, 3 days exceeded 50 ducks [with 2 days ~75]

Significantly higher 5-day rolling averages 2022-23 vs 2021-22, peaking January 4-13
There were 5 periods [26 days] the Duck Harvest Av exceed 20 per day [Av 25.10]
- Best stretch December 31 – January 19, but fell sharply from that point in time
There were 5 periods [23 days] the Duck Harvest Average fell below 13 per day
- Worst stretch January 20 – 31 followed by November 24 – December 19

The river continues to produce the majority of our duck harvest [~65%], followed by leased lands in StudHorse, LeadFork and Apperson [33% combined]. Some AGFC will go back to “River – Hatchie Coon” pending official 208’ finalization.
Interesting Deltas:
- Stud Horse (SH) harvest increased 1,400% [8 → 120] from last season
- Apperson harvest [+ WMA woods] increased 54% [46 → 71] from last season
- Green Timber totals increased 34% [218 → 298]
- Suck Hole harvest decreased 90% [105 → 11] from last season [Cocke hurt badly]
- LeadFork harvest decreased 17% [240 → 199] from last year, but out produced SH
